What’s Your Gift?

I have really been struggling lately trying to keep up with everything I was doing before I was pregnant, exhausted and sick. You really don’t realize how much of a blessing perfect health is until you’re not longer in it I guess. Fortunately my slight suffering does have a definite end.

Anyway, since I’ve been in “sleep mode” (all I want to do is sleep and when I’m awake I wish I was sleeping) for a couple weeks now, I don’t believe that my brain is running at 100%. I’ve felt a bit uninspired and haven’t been writing as much. When I read 1 Peter 4 the other morning, I realized how very much does truly come from God and I’d like to share it with you…

Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, 2 that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. ~1Peter 4:1-2

Recently I’ve been learning and studying the book of Revelation. Though I used to be somewhat confused about the meaning of many of the symbols and references, I’ve truly found this study to be enlightening and very practical.

 A few things about what I’ve learned thus far were made real to me last weekend when I attended an out of the ordinary wedding and also in everyday life this past week. I’ll give you a little background first and then I’ll tell you about my experiences…

A Hopeless Woman With a Grateful Response

 Well it seems that God has gone over my plans with His red pen once again. I just found out that baby # 3 is coming a whole year ahead of schedule. When I told my husband he said it’s funny because he had been reading the story of Hannah and the birth of Samuel the night before.

I decided to read 1Samuel 1-2 because I wanted to review the details of Samuel’s birth again myself (since I have to prepare myself for baby mode now…). Here’s what God showed me…
