The Life of Christmas

Christmas time is always a little crazy!  It seems like every single second from the week before Thanksgiving until Christmas Day is scheduled and it doesn’t leave much time for rest.  I recently finished reading a book that put things in perspective for me this season.  It told a story of a man who’d recently lost his wife.  The author and her family of 7 invited him over to share dinner with them and this is what she writes…

In 2Corinthians 6, Paul sets the standards for every Christian carrying the gospel as a minister very high.  I’m going to attempt to dissect what he has taught us her and see how it applies to us today.  I know there is no way to carry out these attitudes and disciplines apart from Christ and I believe a short analogy has helped me begin on my journey of understanding…

A few weeks ago Mia (my three year old) was in class at church and the teacher was explaining many attibutes of God in order to get the children to recognize who it was she was speaking of.  She said things like, “He never does anything wrong,” “He never lies.” and “He’s really big and very strong!”  When the teacher finally asked who it was they thought she was speaking of, Mia immediately blurted out, “DADDY!”
