A book…

For anyone who is interested, I’ve recently finished writing/editing a book for a man who is serving two life sentences without parole.  It is a story of the amazing grace of God in a person a little worse in conduct than most of us, but who has come from the same position spiritually as all of us – dead.

And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins ~Ephesians 2:1

I’ve added a page where you can read the entire text, but I am still working on the spacing and page numbering and I still need to create a summary of chapters. (I created it in an old version and I’m having trouble with the layout.  For some reason all of the scriptures I used that should be dispersed throughout the book are in a big pile at the end!)  Anyway, it’s readable if you don’t mind the minor problems…Look under my page called, “Lost and Found”.  I hope it encourages you!

The past few weeks have been quite difficult for me spiritually, which is why I haven’t posted in a while.  The Enemy was whispering in my ear and I began to listen to his lies.  Soon I found myself listening to him more than God  and I ended up feeling like I’d let the whole world down.  Maybe I did, in a sense, but I know God and I better than to think anything more than a broken heart and true repentance was needed to draw close to my Father once again for forgiveness.

Whenever I get caught up in the lies of the Enemy and the allurement of sin, I begin to feel hopeless, inadequate and useless in the kingdom of God.  Depression and self pity set in and say, “What does it matter if you do this or that for God anyway?  No one will listen to you; no one really cares.    Look at you…you don’t even listen to Him.”  Praise God that He gave us a few examples to learn from, though.  Let’s look at Moses…
